RECCE - GROUP FILM

Here are the rough locations as to where we will shoot our film (in rough order of appearance). Some location in the centre of London were changed later on as we thought it would be more appropriate for our film to be set in a slightly different place due to the business of the setting.

Directly underneath are the pictures of the interior of the home environment we are using to film:

The open hallway will allow us to have a long tracking shot following the main character through the house. This will in-turn slow down the pace of the editing as shots will not have to be quickly cut together, therefore creating a calm environment which we wish to contrast with the high intensity, dramatic scenes later on, such as the chasing scene through London and the killing scene.

This photo is at the angle we wish to shoot this shot, at eye level. This will portray to the audience that nothing special has happened yet and we are still in a state of equilibrium as the audience would be used to seeing an eyelevel shot in their everyday lives.

The photo below shows the living room setting of the main charaters house. We will be filming multiple different shots in this room at different angles as this where the main character hears a news report that launches the film into dis-equilibrium.

The following three pictures are where we are roughly going to be filming the travelling scene, however they are not exact places as it is a public place so some places may not be able to be used during our filming period, such as the need for free seats in the shot below.

We would like to include a lot of symmetrical shots with in our film such as the one below. These are used in many films and are key features of Wes Anderson movies (a director we have taken some inspiration from). They create a clean, aesthetic and cinema graphic shot making the film visually pleasing to watch.

An example of Wes Andersons use of symmetry:

The following shots are in the centre of London, more specifically the Soho / Covent Garden areas where we will most likely be filming the chasing and killing scenes. The shots will also be set at nights meaning a dramatic, dangerous feel will be created but the scenes will still be lit by the lights of London. The lights also add different pops of colour creating interesting shots, this matched with the fast paced editing that will be occurring in these scenes will create a thrilling, almost disorientating feeling. Similar to what someone would see whilst running through the streets. This places the audience directly into the scene connecting them to the action and creating an adrenaline filled scene.

We also hope to include some iconic iconography of London such as a London bus giving the film a sense of familiarity for the audience as if we were to disribute our film it would most likely only be to a national level.
